ECCLESFORD has undergone a complete rewire of the fiddle yard area. This was to replace the 'dead section' method where a selected portion of track could be isolated. Now, the whole of each track will become dead after the arrival of a train is detected using IR detectors. Similar work is planned for the scenic sections.

NELSON This layout has been sold to several members of the club who wished to retain it for the historical interest.

WILD CAT CREEK This is our new American 2mm (N gauge) layout to replace Yandov Valley.

Two new 00 gauge layouts are currently under construction but full details are being kept under wraps until completion. Click here for work in progress. WIP

A new N gauge layout has been suggested to replace Nelson but as yet no final plan has been agreed.

THE CLUBROOMS have undergone some major changes. A new central heating system has been installed, the outside of the building has been repainted and redecorated throughout inside. Work benches have been re-modelled and fitted with a bench drill, large vice and small lathe. Extra storage space has also been created. The loft has been fully boarded, insulated and lined. All in all, a much pleasanter place to do our modelling.

There are still a few outstanding jobs to do but as with layouts.......it's never complete.
